  • It has been many years since I have been back to Congee Wong, and I should have checked Yelp before trying returning... What once was my favourite dish there - the spicy turnip patties, are bland and lack the garlic and spice they once had. The mixed seafood chow mein once had plenty of scallops, shrimp and squid... tonight it had imitation crab, 3 shrimp, and 2 scallops... and the sauce was water thickened with cornstarch. The shrimp dumpling soup was bland and the dumplings were mushy.. Sadly, we won't be back.
