| - I am a business owner. I called PODS Gilbert & Baseline in Mesa, to have a POD removed from one of my clients' homes. My account was billed and debited on 11/5 good through 12/5 but I needed the POD removed today 11/15. Sarah informed me that she doesn't have any drivers available until tomorrow 11/16 to pick up. Upon pick up I will have to pay the $64 additional pick up fee the same. I then asked her to prorate the use of the POD since I no longer need it, to which she stated she was sorry but tomorrow puts me outside of the 10 days prior to end of billing cycle window, which I need to be in to qualify for a proration. That sucks for me because I'm calling today and they're not available. So PODS wanted to keep my rental money for zero use whatsoever AND to top it off they still wanted me to pay for pick up. I'm thinking it should be a wash. Don't you? Well, I know that PODS is a huge company and doesn't need a little company like me to stay afloat, but I vented my frustration to this very patient girl nonetheless. She pulled strings and her boss let her give me a partial proration. I'll take it. After all it's only fair. All rental companies, be it home rentals, apartments, storage units, etc. generally prorate when a renter vacates. They will undoubtedly sell this POD again well before 12/5. I have given 4 of 5 stars because of Sarah's efforts alone. Had she been unable to convince her boss to help me out, not only would they have lost my repeat business (I am a restoration business owner), they would have gotten 1 star to be nice. Taking people's money is bad business practice. Fairness and honesty and making concessions in special circumstances and employees who go the extra mile to ensure quality are things which make a business stand out. Thank you SARAH for representing!
