| - BACKGROUND
Obviously, gun ownership is not only just about supporting the 2nd Amendment; it's about educating yourself about local, state and federal laws, as well as staying current with your CCW (Conceal Carry Weapon) license, which includes ongoing target practice. As someone who has had a CCW license for 20 years, been shooting since 8 years old and a 3rd generation Arizonan, I am a huge fan of Caswell's Shooting Range.
CASWELL'S
Caswell's was established in 1988, and was one of the first ranges in Arizona opened to the general public. A lot of things regarding gun ownership have changed since then, and Caswell's has always stayed ahead of the curve.
Currently, Caswell's is a climate controlled indoor shooting range with 11 shooting positions with adjustable target distances up to 75 feet. Each position has an automated target retrieval system, which allows you to shoot at your own pace and distances.
Caswell's also has over 75 rental firearms, including Glock, H&K, Sigarms, Springfield, Kimber, Beretta, CZ, S&W, Ruger, Ameetec, Colt, Magnum Research and more. (Calibers from .22LR to .44MAG)
Caswell's has an $8 "Try Before You Buy" program. You pay $8 and can try any of their new or used firearms. The $8 gets credited toward the purchase if you wind up buying any of those you tried.
Caswell's also has all accessories, including ammunition, cleaning supplies, targets, eye/ear protection, carry devices, educational materials and men's/women's clothes.
Caswell's has a very nice educational/classes and training line up. These include CCW & Home Defense, NRA Courses, Build & Maintain Class, pistol, rifle and shotgun training, "Just For Ladies" and more.
Caswell's has 6 different membership programs which offers many benefits and discounts, including priority lane reservation and discounts from 10% - 50% on classes and equipment, depending on the membership you choose.
SERVICE EXPERIENCE
I have attended many of Caswell's classes, including CCW renewal, Fundamental Shooting Skills, and Practical Shooting Skills. I have used Caswell's shooting ranges countless times. I have purchased many firearms and ammunition from Caswell's. I even taught my little brother how to shoot at Caswell's when he was ready to learn.
