  • I recently purchased a refrigerator on 4/5/16 for my company from a salesman name Nick S. The buying process was quick and easy and then we scheduled the delivery. He said we could get it delivered the next day. I thought that was great especially since when I looked at other places, it was atleast a week to ten days for delivery. We scheduled my delivery for 4/6 and I explained that it needed to be delivered before 5 because it was a business and we closed at 5pm. He said no problem at that it could be delivered in the morning but that someone would call me early on to give me a window. The next day, I received a called around 9:30am telling me that I was the last pick-up of the day and that it would be between 4-6pm but closer to 6. I explained that it had to be before 5pm and all the guy could tell me was he had no control over how long it took to deliver the rest of the appliances. I then called the store and talked to Nick. He refuted our conversation from the day before(even though I had 2 colleagues with me) and said there was nothing that he could do but if it doesn't get delivered today, it would be the first delivery of the next day. I re-iterated my frustration with his bait and switch comments from the day before and how he has changed his tone since making the sale. The next day, April 7th, I get another call from the delivery driver saying that my refrigerator would be his last delivery of the day and that it would be between 2-4pm but probably closer to 4pm. I explained my conversation with Nick from the day prior and how I was told I would be the first delivery of the day. The individual on the phone just told me that I was the last delivery and there was nothing that he could do. I then called the store and asked for Nick who they said wouldn't be in until 12pm. I spoke with John and he said he would try to call the driver but said he could never get a hold of him. I then told him that I wanted Nick to call me to discuss how awful this delivery service was and how poor his customer service became after making a sale. I never received a call back form Nick. The refrigerator was finally delivered and the delivery individuals were very rude and sloppy. After this experience, I will not be purchasing any additional appliances from Spencer's. Quite a few people at my Agency have had great experiences with buying from Spencer's but after hearing my story and seeing how poor their customer service was, they will be going elsewhere as well.
