| - I've had significantly better steaks for less money from chain restaurants (Texas Roadhouse, etc...).
I expected better of a steak-house in Phoenix, AZ. This place gets a lot of airport traffic and seems to act like it.
I ordered a 10oz steak, with mashed sweet potatoes, baked beans, and steamed broccoli. I also ordered a croc (read: cup) of chili.
Starting with the chili: It was good - not great. It is also, apparently, an original recipe from 58 years ago. I am not unconvinced that the original recipe involved opening a can of Hormel chili, heating it up, and adding julienne red onions.
As for the steak, it was cooked to order and wasn't awful. The server brought it with a bottle of A1, because even they think that it needed seasoning.
The sides came in small aluminum foil cups not much bigger than the paper cups your 4th grade teacher made you swish fluoride out of as a kid.
The baked beans were pretty tasty. I wish I had more than 3 bites of them.
The mashed sweet potatoes were also tasty. I wish I had more than 3 bites of them.
The head of broccoli appeared to be steamed... no sin.
