  • #1200 review We met Alicia through a neighbor of hers who happened to be my co-worker at a mortgage company. She was starting out on her own and had worked for a company, so she had pretty good experience shooting. We wanted "photo-journalistic" style. I met with her several times at her home (not far from my workplace) where we discussed what I wanted for my special day. She was very easygoing and friendly. She was excited to capture those special moments. We signed a contract. For the ceremony and afterward, the venue we chose (all-inclusive), had a house photographer, so we ended up with two sets of pictures but we incorporated them all into chronological order. Alicia did the prep pictures of me getting ready with my maid of honor and bridesmaid and mother-in-law. Then, after the ceremony, once the house photographer was done, Alicia was able to get her shots of us at the alter, and then outside the chapel, and on the rest of the grounds. (The house photographer was only there to do the ceremony.) So, Alicia was there for the entire reception (she got lots of nice shots-some were taken in sepia, black & white, along with color) and then afterward, when a few of our friends accompanied us on the Strip (Bellagio conservatory), she was also there to do that for us too. That was really nice of her to do that for us (it was a long night, but fun). After the wedding and honeymoon, when we chose the pictures, you know (other brides and grooms, I'm sure can relate) it's an overwhelming process, choosing the best shots, because there were so many of them to select from (OK, honestly, that is a good problem to have); so we went with the best representation of us and our guests (lucky for us- she did a great job!). You know it's left an impression when my mom (asian moms are hyper-critical) mentioned Alicia's attention to detail on her job performance. I agree with Manognya M. on wedding planning being very stressful, besides trying to get the details just right, plus trying to please everyone in your family, doesn't always work out, but this time, the photography was spot on!!! When we got the pictures (the final product), the black leather album, the CD, and release, we were very, very pleased- the pictures were gorgeous. A year later, we received the display book she made to show other potential clients, and that was very unexpected, but very well appreciated.
