  • Good ole' Joe Mama's. It actually does taste like joe's mama is kicking in the back. That is, home-made, yet average. Just like joe. Half-off at 11 is a solid choice and makes for a good variation if you're sick of the other places around Oakland. I like the style and character inside, and I particularly like the quiet upstairs that sits right on top of Forbes ave. I can't even remember what food was good, but any of the pastas, the baked ones like lasagnas and zitis, are pretty solid.
