| - I happened to have an appointment in a building behind this bakery and needed to buy a thank you gift for my lawyer for doing such amazing work for my husband and I on various things. I thought these cupcakes would make her insanely happy, so I got a half a dozen of these for her.
But the problem was, because there was so much frosting and not really a buffer between cupcakes in the box, by the time I got to downtown Vegas where her office was, all the cupcakes were a huge clumpy mess. So I didn't end up giving them to her. I took my clumpy mess home instead for me to eat. I'm taking off one star for having so much frosting they aren't really good to transport.
I'm taking another star off because when I went to eat them, although the cake itself is some of the moist and best I've ever had, there was just too much frosting and I had to throw some of it away (and I hate to do that, dammit).
I had the Midnight Magic, the Texas Milk Chocolate, the Key Lime, and another that I can't remember, but it was chocolate with white frosting. All of them were beautiful and delicious but that frosting really got everywhere. My suggestion is to make the cake part bigger, like big muffin size and tone down the frosting.
