  • I'm shocked that the Amazing Johnathan doesn't have a better rating on yelp- figure its time for me to do my part. I'll admit I was not looking forward to seeing this show. The posters around town made it look lame (like the picture of him on this very page). I went in with a negative attitude towards it, and on some level, probably wanted to hate it. I was wrong. The show has a dark sense of humor. Violence against his female assistant is a recurring bit in the show. I found most of these bits to be hysterical, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. I liked how he played off of how most of these comedy magic shows in Vegas are supposed to go and contrasts it with how his goes. If you like comedians like Jim Norton, Lewis Black, or Louis CK, you'll probably find something to really like about the Amazing Johnathan. I'd say the age range is 13 and up.
