| - I am quite thankful to one of our local radio stations for my wife winning tickets to Britney. Coming into the show, I knew that she did not sing live, but I thought it may make up for it in the entertainment value.
Had Britney actually put effort into this show, it really could have been a night to remember. Instead, she could not be more disinterested in her own show. She hardly played to the audience. The dancing was pretty tame by the other performances and Britney's "dancing" was basically walking and not even breaking a sweat. The show is not even 90 minutes long. You basically could dress up anyone in a blond wig and take her place, you wouldn't know the difference.
Say what you will about our Elvis impersonators and various other "fake" acts, but at least they are trying and actual words come out of their mouths. This show is an insult to the fans that made her. I could see stars such as Sinatra and Elvis who played here rolling in their graves, saying, "Geez, we could have had all that dough and never had to sing a note!"
The theater is very nice and the sound was very good.
I feel awful for anyone who spends their hard earned money on this farce of a show. We work too hard for our money to give it away to someone who barely lifts a finger and brings home 10 times the average American annual salary in just over an hour. There are hundreds of better shows in this town where the performers "work bitch" every night to give you a feeling that you saw something special. Piece of Me should be renamed to say Piece of, well, you know.
