I purchased a hybike less than one year ago and already have had 3 break downs with it. When I called the owner about the second break down, he tried to say that the warranty was not in effect, which was non-sense. In the first place, none of the motor pieces are tied down in any way which means that as you ride the bike, the parts bounce around and eventually break. I sent the bike finally to a specialist in Florida, Ralph who has his own shop. He was telling me horror stories of other owners of HyBikes and how they basically are an overseas piece of crap that the owner will not even try to help fix. I got ripped off royally by paying over $1500.00 for this thing. Another point to the companies dishonesty is, I asked, is it easy to move manually. The owner assured me I can take it on the bus just like a regular bike. NONSENSE, you cannot and have you ever tried to pedal a hybike manually? Its a loosing battle. I have, among many others, reported them to the BBB. Read what the BBB has to say about them and save your money!
