This was the first restaurant I went to when I came for my conference. I was walking down restaurant row and I really wanted to try a Mario Batali Restaurant and I'm a huge Master Chef fan so I wanted to see Joe Bastianachs restaurant too.
I was immediately seated. The restaurant is a little dark so not the best place for kids but the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. They served me a complimentary chickpea bruschetta which was absolutely delicious.
After looking at the menu, the one item I requested was out of stock, obviously popular. But I was feeling in a good mood so I asked the waiter's recommendation. He suggested a pasta that was on the tasting menu, but not the a la carte menu. I was intrigued. It was a lemon goat cheese pasta. It was absolutely divine.
I don't go to a lot of italian restaurants cuz they end up being heavy (and i could probably make it at home haha) but this was light, the flavors popped and I was in heaven.
The restaurant was wonderful and I should've come here a couple more times.
