| - The good part first. The receptionists have been very nice. The techs (with one glaring exception) have been great.
The vets, however, really could care less about your pet. They are rude. They are arrogant. They are condescending.
I went here on recommendations and stayed too long. I saw 4 different vets over time and only 1 of them seemed to actually care about the well-being of my pets. Three of four of the vets were arrogant and obnoxious. They treated my pets marginally better than they treated me, but they treated requests for information or explanations as an irritating inconvenience. I left wondering why these people became vets if they cared so little about animals.
Issue two: I have, unfortunately, had several emergencies with my pets. I called each time during business hours, asking if we could be fit in (3 times, I asked if there was any time within 24 hours they could see me). They absolutely refused and sent me to the ER Vet each time. Even when there was a full day ahead and more than anything I needed a 5 minute consultation to know if the situation was serious enough to warrant an ER vet or not. Two of those times, I did not need the huge expense of an ER vet at all. I've never encountered this before. I've always had vets who cared enough about my pets that they would try to help when they could. When they couldn't, they wouldn't, but these people aren't even willing to have the conversation.
Issue three: NONE of the vets were willing to explain or discuss food and its effect on health. They kept recommending Science Diet. I kept explaining that I eat organic, and I would like my pets to have quality food as well, and that Science Diet has no control over the quality of its ingredients that are sourced in China, and therefore I'm not willing to trust my pets' health to that brand. Which is the reason that brand killed so many peoples' pets a few years back. They not only would not help me find a good food source, they treated me as though I were being somehow unreasonable.
Issue four: Cleanliness seems to rank pretty low. You can see it when you walk in. Also, last time I was there, my cat was scared and pooped on the table. I called a tech in to ask if we should collect that in case we needed to run tests. She sad yes and scooped it up, but then did NOTHING to sanitize the table. Which was disgusting. When it became clear she wasn't going to sanitize and I was alone in the room, I rifled through the cabinets, found supplies and did it myself.
I will NEVER go there again.
