I had my first private instruction Pilates class @ Remedy with Kelly. I've been dealing with significant low back pain from a disc that I herniated about 2 years ago. Since then I've gone from working out 5-6 days a week to 1-2 (if I'm lucky). My chiro suggested that I try Pilates a while back and told me about the studio she goes to. I wish I didn't wait so long as I can already see how Pilates will help strengthen my core alleviating pressure and pain on the discs in my lumbar spine.
Working with Kelly is certainly something I'd recommend if you're interested in trying out Pilates. She's enthusiastic, knowledgeable, pleasant, understanding and encouraging. Since I have an injury I wanted to make sure I started working with a master trainer and I plan on continuing with Kelly for the foreseeable future. She took the time to understand my injury and made sure the exercises we were doing didn't cause any undue strain.
As for the studio... since I have no reference for what a Pilates studio looks like I can't really comment about the size or feel. It was clean and well organized which I felt was ascetically pleasing.
If you're considering Pilates then I'd highly recommend you check out Kelly @ Remedy Pilates & Barre!
