Really cute little place in a strip mall in Scottsdale.
We went in around lunch time on a Sunday. They offer brunch and it looked like the brunch crowd was just leaving. There was no hostess - just a sign saying to seat yourself next to a pile of menus.
We sat at the bar rather than a table. The bartender was super friend and he approached us immediately and also gave us a menu that showed their brunch specials. I am a big fan of bloody marys, but I am VERY pick (to say the least) about the mix used. He mentioned that he makes it himself and let me try some. It was really good and spicy, just how I like it (I later saw him making it with sriracha). I decided to have the bloody beer ($5) and my friend had the beermosa ($5). Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the bloody beer and could barely drink half of it.
Also, they only had a few of their beers on tap. The bartender mentioned that their brewer has been out of town and would be back soon. I only tried one of the beers (other than that in my bloody beer) and I wasn't impressed. I would have to try a lot more to make a real opinion about their brewing operations. They do offer other beers on tap as well.
They offer pizza and have a cool little kitchen area with a brick oven. We wanted something sweet and were told that they could make something called a "sweetie pie," which was pizza crust brushed with cinnamon and brown sugar, topped with a raspberry compote and topped with a vanilla mascarpone cream. It was really good!
This place was actually really far out of the way for us, so I am not sure I'll be back. But if I am in the area, I will stop in and check what they have on tap.
