  • Skip this and check out the other Escape Rooms in town, or just save your money altogether. While they deserve kudos for bringing an Escape Room concept to Cleveland, the gameplay is a bit sloppy and clunky, and the customer service was abysmal. Before we even entered the room, we were a bit disappointed with the 20-minute-delayed start time, which included overhearing the spoilers we heard the previous team discussing in the lobby on their way out, with the owners making little effort to prevent them from ruining our experience. The intro was cheesy (laughable, almost) and the staff member guiding us was a bit flippant and conveyed an attitude that she just couldn't be bothered. Getting started with 8 people crammed into a tiny room (beware: they will pair you with strangers if you do not book the entire room) was uncomfortable and left several people standing by with nothing to do. All in all, the clues and gameplay was decent at best. The red herrings, instead of being cleverly distracting, were actually misleading and confusing. Certain puzzles required brute logic (for instance, you find 3 numbers but there's no indication as to what order they need to be in, so you just have to try them all), and most of the other ones just missed the ball completely. The clues provided were poorly timed (we received clues for things we already solved) or non-existent (though they are supposed to be constantly monitoring the team, an entire 15 minutes passed when we sought out a clue toward the end). There was one clue, which the staffer later described as THE most important clue in the game, that she realized (after we were let out) was missing from the room. Oops! And the biggest pet peeve was the customer service. After the game, we brought to their attention our frustrations (the missing clues, the illogical puzzles, the misleading red herrings, ignoring our plea for a clue when we needed one, etc), and they could not care less, shockingly. In their attempt to "apologize," they contradicted themselves and flat-out lied to us a couple of times. I've never experienced customer service where they made zero attempt to make things right - did not offer a full or partial refund - did not offer to comp us another room - nor anything in between. You will leave this experience frustrated and disappointed and I strongly suggest you find other activities to do in Cleveland. There are several other Escape Rooms in town to explore - and more opening soon -- hopefully with their act together.
