WARNING!!! DON'T GO! I DON'T CARE HOW CHEAP THEY ARE.
I would like to inform you about the quality of service I experienced at Advantage car rental Phoenix Sky Harbor on April 24-25. I made my reservations on line, well, I found them online then called to hold it. It seems to me that if you schedule your reservations online, aside from delays, that should give you an idea of how busy it will be at any given time. I waited a little over 60 minutes to reach the desk of the person that would assign the car. There were 3 people working that desk. 1 person who needed assistance on a regular basis and one person who would leave in between helping a customer. After I got my paperwork I went down stairs to be in a line behind 2 seperate customers. The one at the counter is having some problems and I hear the elderly employee snidly say "You don't have to use the F bomb with me. You won't talk to me that way". Out comes the manager and starts working with the customer so that the grouchy old lady can start working with the rest of us. The manager that is now helping the couple is calm and quiet but in no way friendly. By this first impression alone, I will never do business with this company again anywhwere. The employee is right. Noone should use the F bomb with her. But your employees should be trained that in any situation they remain calm, friendly, address the problems and help the customers in a way that makes them feel like you care about them personnaly.
My experience got better. I get the car assigned to me with no cordial greeting or talk. It has 3-4 inches of scratches all the way down both passenger side doors. So I walk back up to the counter. Another nasty faced employee walks up and talks to the customers in line, (which I have now joined) and they point her to help me. She says "give me your pink slip". So I do. She puts it behind the original and then tells me to write it on there. So I do. I ask if there is anything else I need to do. She starts yelling at me "Don't take my pen. Don't take my pen." I had already set down her $0.32 pen and had no intentions of taking it. All I can imagine is that this must be a horrible company to work for to have so many horrible employees. When I see this tone for a company I imagine the line, a man kicks the dog and the dog will bite the child.
