I love these types of little paint your own pottery places. My friend and I have started a tradition that whenever we visit each other we find one of these and paint something.
This is one of the nicer ones I've painted at. Everyone there was incredibly helpful and didn't mind demonstrating or going over techniques. There were lots of pottery designs to choose from and I liked so many that I'm pretty sure if I lived here id be making this a regular activity.
There are a lot of colors to choose from in regards to paints and even some different types. There are stencils and design tools, and they also have a designer you can pay to do the writing, if you happen to detest your own handwriting like the majority of us. This place offers a variety of events including classes, contests, birthday parties, and community involvement.
The day my friend and I went she painted two coffee mugs for her employees and was really pleased with the handwriting designer. I painted a large serving bowl with a new design technique I'd never seen before and I really appreciated the guidance of the staff. We had to leave our pottery during lunch to meet with friends and they were very easy going about us returning to finish our projects.
You pay for your item and the cost to paint. The prices were standard for other places I've been to like this and your pottery is ready in about 2 weeks! I'd definitely recommend this place if you're feeling in a craftsy mood
