  • I have been purchasing supplies here since I first heard about it in September 2017. Since then I had been a loyal customer coming in 3 to 4 times a month. They have made at LEAST $700+ from me in just these few months. Just adding that so you know how often I had been going to get ALL of my supplies here. I have had 3 recent negative experiences and will no longer be a customer here. 1st: I JUST purchased a few Cre8tion nippers yesterday. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet. I chose these since their $6 nippers have been bumped up in price to $8 now. Therefore I thought it would be smarter to spend the extra $2 to get better "quality" nippers. Worst mistake. As soon as I left I had an appointment booked with a client yesterday evening. Mid service while I'm nipping my clients cuticle the lever that is on the handle that makes the nippers function just popped off. Not only was it embarrassing but it could have potentially been dangerous to my client and myself if the little rivet screw flew in her eye when it popped off. There's no way i can fix it myself after inspecting it since it's not a screw, it's a rivet that was faulty and broke. I called Direct to ask about their exchange policy. (Not even requesting my money back, just wanted to exchange it for a product that works) and the girl who answered said once it leaves their store it's not their problem. So they're okay will selling shitty products that won't even last ONE FULL SERVICE?! I just waisted $50 on buying 5 of these. Not to mention, this is the 2nd time this happened. Last time it happened with the $6 nippers that's why I wanted to invest in the better "quality" ones this time around. 2nd: The Kiara Sky LED light I purchased for $220 dies very quickly (2x faster than the time the manufacturer suggested) & I'm stuck with it because Direct does not exchange items for anyone even when they are selling faulty products. Unfortunately I can't send it back for warranty because I work 50+ hours a week at my nail salon so sending it back and not having a LED light for a few days will severely effect my work. 3rd: Their products prices aren't labeled properly which leads to false advertising. I just bought their Kiara Sky dip powder and their price sheet says "Dip Powder $12" so I chose the natural color. It has no pigment to it. At the register they charged me $20 for it. I asked "it says dip powders $12, is this one not $12?" which they answered "no this powder is $20" like what? Okay whatever, at this point I knew I needed the natural so I bought it anyway but they really need to be more specific so other customers in the future wont fall for the false advertising. Overall, I'm done with Direct Beauty supply. Because of all the negative experiences and to top it off it is 28 mins from my house & I always made the drive for them but now I'll save my gas & just visit the beauty supply store on Tropicana & Fort Apache. I've been there 2 times in the past & they also have great nail supplies, good friendly customer service & some products were even cheaper. Only down side is their selection of nail supplies is 3/4 the amount from Direct.
