I received my cash voucher from Costco and renewed my membership online as I have done for many years. The next day the rude gentleman at the checkout said my membership was expired. I explained to him I renewed online and I had several months left on the membership regardless. He said the online renewal could take as long as 2 weeks and I should renew at the register. I copied all of my paperwork including receipt for renewal and where it showed my membership had not lapsed and returned to the membership counter the next day. The wonderfully helpful person assured me there was no issue with my membership and, although the online renewal had not processed, she said I still had two months left on my current membership. That's the kind of service I have come to expect at Costco. The original gentleman needs a course in customer service. Regardless-Costco overall is good. Even though the renewal experience (this time) was less than stellar.
