  • Alright here we go... I love Zero Degrees in Cali, it's one of my favorite spots to go to for a quick lil snack and drink so of course I was hella excited they were opening here! I first saw their IG about them opening at the District in GVR but then saw the location they're at now was opening so 1 automatic star for being in a more centralized area! The location is right by Planet Fitness off Decatur and Flamingo, it's in the same complex as the Smith's, Makino & Boiling Crab too! It was myself and five others. It was a pretty packed house maybe only two 4-top tables open and a few high chairs opened. The first downside was the weird awkward smell right when you walked in. It made it so uncomfortable to sit inside and there were no seats outside so we just had to deal. We ordered FOUR drinks: a Cookie Monster, Strawberry Horchata, Lychee Crush & Mangonada w/a mango twist. We ordered at 7:16PM and didn't receive our complete order until 7:50PM!!! WHAT THE HECK?!? Talk about seriously understaffed! What made it worse for us was that drink orders taken after ours were being made and called out quicker! I understand some drinks are easier to make then others. HOWEVER, if you have customers waiting over 30 mins for drink orders it becomes an aggravating issue of why are others receiving orders before!! If you are a relatively new business and especially a brand that is known and actively being promoted on social media platforms, there is a high chance that your store will still be receiving new patrons and you shouldn't be SO UNDERSTAFFED it takes over 30 mins to receive an order. You are not a full-service restaurant, you are quick-service and IF you know you are understaffed alert your patrons there is a longer wait for drink orders. Some patrons are not able to wait so long for drinks or food. I was extremely shocked at the quality of service. What made it worse was their orders were piling up and the two staff members concocting drinks were just taking their time chit chatting and slowly producing drinks while there were over 10 orders waiting in queue!!! As far as finally getting our drinks, everyone seemed pretty satisfied. But at that point in time we were over the experience. I don't know if I'm willing to come back and give it another shot. This was SO disappointing.
