| - I've been here a few times before, usually for lunch. The food has always been pretty good. The service is usually sub par. I took a couple of my team members here for lunch today to celebrate a birthday. I am on a ketogenic diet, and tbh, you can eat keto friendly at pretty much any steak house.
Since it was lunch, I ordered the BLT Steak Burger, but I asked if I could get it in a lettuce wrap instead of on a bun. I was told I could not, but they could bring it bun-less. This is not a huge deal, but if fast food restaurants can accommodate this, I'm not sure why a place with $14 hamburgers cannot. I'm not cheap either, I'll order a $100 bottle of wine at dinner without missing a beat.
The burgers only come listed with three side choices, two types of French fries or sweet potato fries. I'm not currently eating either. I asked if I could substitute some sort of vegetable instead. I was told yes, but there would be an upcharge. I asked what the upcharge was, and the server told me it would be the full price on the menu of the side.
So.... if I want asparagus or mixed vegetables instead of broccoli, that will be $11? So a hamburger and a couple pieces of vegetables is $25 but a hamburger and fries is $14? No thanks. I just had a naked burger and didn't touch the fries.
The popovers are great. The food is good here. I've always found the service to be meh, and after today, I probably won't be back. There are just too many places in town that provide excellent service and have good food in this same price range.
