New Mexican cuisine done right- this is the original of trifecta of restaurants (rokerij and dicks hideaway) that have similar menus.
A cozy patio entrance greets visitors in a warm welcoming way. After 2 visits off peak times we have had no wait. I recommend the happy hour from 3-6 as most appetizers are a few dollars off.
A decent house margarita sets my mood with a happening bar area and fast moving staff.
Brooke did a great job on our recent visit. She knows a lot about the dishes and can answer any questions that one may have. So many great specials this evening including a cheese steak option!
We are in a Mexican mood every day so we order a beef chili relleƱo and smoked chicken toastadas. Very crispy shells with yummy chicken and a salad atop- could have benefitted from a salsa or aioli. The relleno was super classic on a grill pan with yummy bubbly sauce and delicious cheese.
Sharing the adovada was a smart move on our part. You can substitute the rice and beans for a veggie or salad so we did a salad. This keeps the meal light because the red chili pork is very smoky and flavorful but a generous portion. We loved it!
We did not hear about desserts and this is my one regret after dining at Richardsons.
We had 2 drinks each and everything came to about $75 for 2 people.
