  • I had a terrible experience with this place. My car was totaled in a bad accident and I didn't have much time to find a new car before going back to work/before my rental car expired. I was upfront with my situation and explained that I just wanted to test drive one specific used car and that if I liked it I would send a purchase order to my credit union. Another factor in my situation was that I HAD to finance through my credit union to take advantage of gap insurance benefits from the accident. I was also in limbo waiting for the insurance company to send me the settlement check. Dylan, my sales associate, knew of my situation but apparently it was too complicated for him to work with me on. He never stopped insisting I finance through them and he emailed and texted me every single day to bring them a check for the car even before the settlement came through! I really wanted that car and was willing to be patient and wait for it but for whatever reason the people at Liberty Buick REFUSED to work directly with my credit union. Finally I was able to get the loan approved and they sent me the purchase order to send to them and I was literally the middle man in every communication, which made the process go so slow. My credit union is part of CUDL, which should have meant that everything could have gotten done in one day and been done online. I was growing more irritated that they weren't willing to work with my situation and THEN Dylan Culp told me they weren't going to hold my vehicle for the one day it would take to get the check from my bank and then asked me for my credit card information via text (!!!!!) if I wanted to put down $1000 to reserve it. Absolutely ridiculous. I called them and spoke with Drew Lara. Just like Dylan he was condescending and told me that they don't do business with my credit union and that I'm the one making it difficult, not them. I was appalled at the poor customer service and was upset enough to cancel the check and take my business elsewhere. Too many red flags. I went to Bill Luke Tempe the next day and drove away with my new car 4 hours later!!!!!!! Extra red flags: the car was a couple thousand under KBB and they never showed me any auto reports or car facts on the vehicle. When I told them that I would take my business elsewhere they said they would drop it another $1500. That makes me feel like there's something wrong with it because they were pretty desperate to get rid of it.
