  • I would give them no stars if I could! this place will lie to you, give you a car with problems and charge your credit card for them! I have HAD to deal with them 5 times over the past 3 years due to lengthy car repairs. Every time they told me "your insurance company will only authorize $30.00 a day." and they try to give me a small economy compact car. I have owned a well equipped Chevy Equinox and a Ford Edge. When I have called my insurance company this time the adjuster laugh and say I am approved for $50.00 a day rental and then stated they will take care of it. Amherst Enterprise showed up to the dealerships every time with a compact car! Then I would have to ride into the Enterprise store in Amherst with their delivery employee where they would tell me that all but the compact cars need service. The first time I went there they told me the only car that had been serviced was a Focus. I took it and within 2 hours the front tire was going flat. I called them and they told ME to put air in it. I did and the next day the tire was almost flat. I called Amherst Enterprise they told me that was all they had and I would have to keep filling the tire up! I was angry and drove to Amherst to find a full lot of new cars! I went in and asked for the manager and was told they all needed service I explained the one they gave me the tire kept loosing air. He said "well fill it!" I said "NO, you keep it I am done!" The next day my credit card was charged $211.00! I called Enterprise and they said I returned the car with a flat tire and I had to pay for it. Later I found out they charged the insurance company, of the gentleman who hit me $50.00 a day for 10 days. I was so mad I reported them to the insurance company and sent receipts proving I only had the car overnight and that I returned it because it had a flat tire. They also claimed there were no other cars available and the car they gave me an economy car that goes for $30.00 a day, not a SUV at $50.00 a day. I then called the credit card company and they took care of disputing the charge. Unfortunately this is the only rental company in my area. I have a perfect driving record only one speeding ticket 32 years ago. I am 59 years old with great credit. There is no reason to treat me like this multiple times. I am sure Amherst Enterprise does this to many customers. People are busy and don't have time to investigate. If things are going relatively smoothly they probably figure if there is anything wrong the insurance companies will take care of it.
