The baby back ribs are superb as they have always been. But Ellis Island has hiked prices 30% recently.
The main draw used to be the prime rib dinner which they sold for $14.00. The dinner included a twenty ounce beer or root beer. That was a good deal, and me and many friends used to dine there very often. .
Recently their management no longer provides the free beer or root bear [$2.50) that used to be comped with the meal. and they raised the price of the rib dinner to $17.00.
It is not worth to me or my friends to drive downtown for a $20.00 meal when I could have the same fare close to home at some of the other casinos for quite a bit less.
As an aside, I will not visit any casino that charges for parking.
The Strip and the managements are TRYING TO KILL THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGG.
