  • NEVER EVER SET FOOT IN HERE. SALES MANAGER CHRIS DITMORE IS COMPLETELY HORRIBLE AND WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! I got completely scammed and currently having to take legal actions. I bought a used car from Desert Nissan a little over a week ago. I was told to leave it over night so they could detail it and it would be ready the next day. The next day I went to pick it up and the check engine light was on. They filled out a "We Owe" form saying they would fix the problem. After calling them daily for a week I found out that they were in fact not going to fix my vehicle because it wasn't cost effective and there was nothing I could do even though I had it in writing. I was told my option were to get my down payment back and try to find another car which would be more difficult since I would have to show them I didn't purchase the car earlier in the week and my credit would take a serious hit. The other option they gave me was to find another vehicle.... surprise, surprise. The only car they had comparable to the Volvo I initially purchased was a VW they had on their sister lot Desert VW. It was a certified preowned that was more money but came with a warranty!!! I was sold.... only to find out that they 'transferred' the car to Desert Nissan so I no longer was able to get the free warranty and they snuck in the same warranty but charged me $2,800 for it!!!! They rushed the paperwork through since I had the other car and all I had to do was 'sign a few things real quick.' I didn't realize until it was too late the my "free warranty" for buying a certified preowned cost me almost $3k. The paperwork they gave me doesn't even make sense. One paper says the warranty is $2,800, one says it $2,600 and one form says I have no warranty and it's 'as is'.... While waiting for the VW I was talking to another customer who had a similar story. She came in for a nice used Mazda she saw online only to be told it was 'unsafe' and now she is leasing a Versa she doesn't want. These people are scam artists. Stay away from Desert Nissan and Chris the Sleazy Sales Manager.
