  • The facial itself was fine. The woman, an older Indian woman, actually insulted me at the end of the facial. I've spoken to the spa about this. if you work in the beauty industry, it is perhaps best not to negatively comment on someone's appearance, saying "at least, I don't have that." That's possibly the one of the most unprofessional thing you could do in that kind of environment. It's like if I worked at a weight watchers and went "at least I'm not fat." It was pretty funny because it was absurd how rude and tactless this woman was.... even funnier was that i tipped her, because of some irrational guilt you feel when you get mad at someone for their bad service so you overcompensate for that. she definitely didn't deserve that tip but i guess it's the whole canadian mentality behind tipping...everyone tips here, it's expected. sigh. I'll go back because generally the staff are nice and pleasant but she was just a bad apple. the manager was super nice and empathetic about the situation. Extremely professional and promised to help me out herself the next time. Upon second thought, I'll give the spa an extra star just for that. Give the spa a try...it's generally a great place to go.
