| - I initially began coming here because the haircuts were inexpensive and Aveda products were used for the scalp massage, shampooing, and styling- I got to try out scents and see if there were any products worth the money.
My first experience at Aveda was awesome- loved my stylist and she really listened to what I wanted, but offered suggestions as well. I came out with a great cut and thought I found the perfect place in Madison.
The second time, I came in with long hair asking to go short and was told "Oh, your hair is so pretty...let's just leave it long." Then, she trimmed my ends, styled my hair, and teased it...but then I came home to wash it and found out that the teasing hid an uneven cut!
I was hesitant to go back, but went again with a short cut asking for a 1 inch trim and long layers. Currently, the hair on the top of my head is about 4 inches long and I look like I have a crazy mullet. Thanks Aveda, but no thanks.
Overall, very nice and friendly girls, but I wouldn't come back for more than a bang trim or touch-up of a professional style. I'd just prefer if the girls would admit if they're not comfortable trying a particular style- it would save a lot of frustration from the customers and bring in repeat business.
