  • First off, the customer service here is great. Jennifer from their customer service team listened to our concerns and was responsive. The quality of the product however is not up to the standards of other companies. We had a security door installed on our front door by Steel Shield Security Doors which we were very happy with. On the recommendation of a neighbor we went with First Impressions for our second door. The door they installed is not as nice as the one we had installed by Steel Shield. In our photos you will see smooth welds filed nicely and powder coated on the Steel Shield doors. On the First Impression door, the welds are sloppy, wobbly and fat with excessive amounts of flux which make the welds look like fat worms or tooth paste. When I contacted Jennifer she tried to bring my concerns to the production team and their answer is that the welds are within their company standards. They mentioned that they could come out and file the welds down and paint over them, but over time the paint would fade since they would not be powder coated like the rest of the door. I said no thanks. The review may possibly have been one star if not for how professional and attentive Jennifer was during our conversations.
