This is a cool little ice cream stand that has apparently been in this location for quite some time. Their advertising reach is not very far, but if you get close to them you will see and be inundated by the colorful myriad of amusing bandit signs that are posted. What caught my eye? The orange sign that looked like it belonged to a construction company that said, "Ice Cream in 500 ft." Points for originality and tenacity.
For my first visit, I ordered the following:
Apple Dumpling Sundae
Vanilla Ice Cream with chocolate sauce
The associates were nice and quick and I enjoyed my apply dumpling sundae. It wasn't too sweet and had really good apple and cinnamon flavor. I really liked the dichotomy and juxtaposition of the hot of the apples against the cold of the ice cream.
A true testament to their popularity is the fact that they still have patrons awaiting their fare when it is 50 degrees outside. I want to try so much more of what they have to offer.
