Some people love this place because of sheer nostalgia. I don't.
The first time I ever got s***faced was at the Blue Goose, with a friend whose idea of fun was to spend $100 on overpriced liquor and poorly-made food, and culminated in me puking my guts out on my front step because I forgot my house keys.
The only real benefit I see to the bar's location is that it's literally steps away from the Mimico GO Station, and that's a boon to wasted individuals who don't have a ride home.
The bar is more-or-less the same standard decor and ambience you'd find at any dive bar, and in spite of the awards they crow about on their front door, the wings are overpriced, the food is poorly made (I remember having "fish and chips", which amounted to a square 'fish' party and green-ish tartar sauce) and the entertainment is the same crop of bands that shows up all over south Etobicoke and circuits through once a month.
The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the staff are very friendly.
