| - I have read most of the reviews about this Big Lots and I must say that most people that have written these reviews, must be really deprived or they just don't know what good customer service is. I just moved to Las Vegas from another state and I am used to clean stores and good customer service, so I can't comment on that because when you pay for service, you should get service. If you don't receive good customer service, then its time to shop at other places, even if it means paying more for it.
As I said, I am from another state and I am buying some homes and need to get some supplies and furniture to start up my rentals. I went into Big Lots at 3940 Blue Diamond in Las Vegas and ordered about $2,300.00 of furniture and then about 4 days later, ordered about $1,600.00 of more furniture. I received a call from a 3rd party company that delivers for Big Lots, to deliver the furniture. Some of the items were damaged and some were just the wrong items that were ordered.
The sub delivery company did return the damaged furniture to Big Lots for undamaged furniture, but that was damaged also. I called and talked with Tony and with Kim; both told me that I had to wait 2-3 days for a new delivery. After a week of not getting a call back (7 days) I called back and I was told that Big Lots got some more furniture in, but they forgot to call me and it was sold. I would have to wait till the next delivery in 2-3 days. I called 3 days later and was told by Kim that Big Lots still did not have the furniture that I wanted. I then called and talked with Steve/ Tony and was told that I could come in and get a refund for the one missing piece of furniture. I asked "What was I going to do with the rest of the room, it would not match?" They did not seem to care too much about what I already had, since it was already paid for.
With that said I waited another few days and called and talked with Tony about the furniture and now I am being told that it was in. The box that had came in was also damaged but the furniture is ok, but he has not had any time to opened it.
This is not good customer service, not keeping the customer informed of what is going on. Also, I have had to do all of the leg work myself, with all of the calling and setting up appointments with the delivery company, not to mentions that I had to take time off of work to wait for the deliveries. The 3rd party delivery company that is ran by Rick and Lance, got paid when the furniture was delivered the first time. Lance told me 4 times they would deliver, then no show. I would not even get a phone call from them. When I did talk with Lance, I was told he forgot my number, something came up, he was at a customers house or he was in another area of town and he could not do it that day.
I have spent over $4,400.00 & the delivery charge at this one store in less then one month and planned to spend even more over the next year, but since Big Lots and the 3rd party delivery company has opened my eyes to this store, this may be my last time shopping their.
The employees of Big Lots on Blue Diamond in Las Vegas are friendly when you are buying at their store, but they lack the follow up customer service after the payment and that is far from what I would expect from any store.
Do your homework and then pick a company that will follow up with the customer. Last, the last piece of furniture was on display at the store and I did not get any kind of discount, even though it had marks on the furniture & it was not new.
