Great selection, poor value, awful customer service.
I have a similar experience to Jimmy (1/24/2013). Went to get a front load washer/dryer and they have a great selection, some of which have very little damage. Eric was the employee I was working with and he was very talkative but not a very good listener. I told him several times I was looking for a 5.1 cubic foot capacity LG frontloader and he sold me one he insisted was the largest one LG makes, so I assumed it was the 5.1. It wasn't until I got home with the receipt in hand that I realized the error... I ran the model number on google and quickly found out that he sold me the 4.0 not the 5.1. After making a phone call to Home Depot I realized that I could get the brand new 4.0 from Home Depot for $50 cheaper, which doesn't make sense at all since the models at Select Appliance are all damaged.
I was hoping that Eric would work with me on pricing and come down to make us a deal, but instead he flew off the handle when my husband called to negotiate. We ended up having him cancel the transaction altogether and I left with the feeling that I dodged a bullet. If I'm going to give up the 10 year manufacturer's warranty and the look of a brand new appliance, I want to get a great deal on it. I'm just grateful in the end SA was willing to issue a refund (the machines had not been delivered yet).
