| - Car was pulling to the left, and I was looking for options as the time to swap the winter tires off for the summers/all seasons was approaching...Spoke to my mechanic for options and since he didn't do alignment the best he could recommend do was recommend a guy who charged $80 cash...the usual cost for wheel alignment for a compact sedan is between $80-120 plus taxes in the GTA...
I eventually turned to my trusted frenemy Google which threw up a slew of options, and Unity Auto was high on the list albeit Google's system of showing up options for search which are paid for...
There wasn't much to go on with, so with a Hail Mary I made an appointment via their online booking system and showed up...
I was running a bit late, so I called in to advise, and the lady on the phone said that if I showed up less than 30mins past my booking I'm good, else I'll have to wait until they have another opening...I arrived about 10mins late, and gave her the keys...
They took my car in, and meanwhile I asked her about the special offer on Yelp which entitles one to a 10% discount on any service...She said she's not sure and that she'll check with the owner...She never got back to me on that...
Once the car was ready and I was up to pay, I reminded her about the Yelp special, and she said that she can't give me discount since the alignment was for a special price already...
Regular Price - $50
Special Price - $48.97
Regular Price with Yelp Discount - $45
When I insisted on the regular price with the discount, she said that since I had booked online for the special, she can't do that...
It was getting to a point where I'd have to haggle over a few pennies and it's frankly not worth my time...
I paid the bill and left...!!!
The only reason I'm awarding 3 Stars instead of 1 Star is because of the owner, Mr. Ram...He's a very soft spoken and honest gentleman who himself works on the car...He happened to be working on my car, and when I quizzed, he let me inside the workshop area and explained what the problem with the car was, and what they were doing to fix it...
P.S.: The lady, Gauri, is Ram's wife (owner's wife)...!!!
