  • I've been going to this Bookman's for nearly 20 years. I used to live in the neighborhood and I was even an employee during the store's grand opening. They've fought an uphill battle in the location they chose - it's a tough area. They survived the closing of Pancho's :(, but with the opening of the Goodwill store next door the whole ambiance has changed. (Don't get me wrong - I love Goodwill stores!) Yet after my last visit my kids and I both felt we didn't need to return any time soon. Somehow the magic is gone.
