  • Everyone knows, moving is the absolute WORST. On top of that, everyone who ever visited my last apartment would "politely" say "wow Ashley, you have a lot of... stuff." And I do. But moving into a house with my boyfriend was worth the mental anxiety of having to move everything, so I started to look for the right company to do the job. I found Hornet Moving on thumbtack, where they had all five star reviews (just like on Yelp. And Google. And facebook.) I was initially put off by the fact that they charge by the hour and I'm wary of workers trying to milk the clock, but that ended up being such a non-issue it's ridiculous to even mention it. Blake contacted me immediately and told me of his availabilities, and I booked them the next day. Their arrival window was 1-4; I got a call at 1:15 that they were 15 minutes out and they pulled up exactly 15 minutes later. We signed paperwork and Drew and Peter got to work immediately. They were fast/efficient AND careful -- I have lots of furniture including antiques and 6 giant mirror panels and not a single thing was damaged in the move. For this alone I would use Hornet Moving a million times over. With a 15 minute drive from my old place to my new, the total time it took to move was 3 hours. One sofa, one bed, one dresser, one giant desk, 6 mirror panels, 3 chairs, 3 rugs, 7 tables, 3 bookshelves, 15ish boxes -- I'm sure there's more but I already said I had a lot of stuff, alright?! Everything delivered totally unblemished. Use these guys. You'll be forever grateful.
