I'm not only a dog and cat owner, but I'm also a dog (and cat) nanny. My dog (Cami) is an 11 year old cocker spaniel who has a bum leg due to a fouled up surgery after she broke it and cushings. One of the dogs I watch is a 2.5 yo Newfie (Cleveland) and a 1 yo St. Bernard (Watson).
Cami is friendly but a little skittish since the accident. Her skin is dry and her hair is patchy due to cushings. BIS has this bubble therapy bath that helps with her skin and ease some of the arthritis. I'm a crazy dog mom and they treat her gently. Corrine, the owner, knows each dog nd their temperament so when Cami was acting out of sorts, she immediately called me to pick her up.
Cleveland is 2.5 yo, 125lbs and super bougie. He LOVES going to see Corrine and Jose. When I tell him he is going there, he jumps around and gets super excited. Then as soon as he gets in the door, he walks around the counter and sits on Corrine's feet. Corrine is knowledgeable about the best way to cut hair for certain breeds and always makes sure Cleveland looks good but has a cut that keeps him cool and allows him to lay in his chair in the sun.
Watson is a 1 yo St. Bernard. He is sweet as can be but a big baby! Every time we go to BIS, he is skittish and nervous, but the staff handle him with kid gloves and once he goes into the back he is happy as a clam.
I do also take both my cat and my boss's cat to be groomed as well. My cat is a Mainecoon and my boss's cat is a Persian. Both are a little unique in that they love to be groomed (as all queens should be pampered lol). Again the staff does an amazing job and both girls strut around once they are done to show ofd their new dos.
I've been to several groomers in the Vegas area and hands down Best In Show is the best in Vegas!
