  • The Dollar Cinéma on Décarie is the closest thing I will ever get to a genuine grindhouse experience. Sticky floors, old creaky seats, the works. That said, the prices simply can't be beat. Your ticket and your food will only set you back a fiver, which is awesome, but there's a chance you'll have to yell at the projectionist to change the lens or adjust the focus; when I saw THE BIG LEBOWSKI there, the film ran a good ten minutes in the wrong aspect ratio and out of focus. It was fixed (to cheers from the audience, natch), and the movie ran find afterwards. All part of that glorious grindhouse experience.
