| - I really wanted to like this place but I guess I should have asked for Joanne like what most of the reviews are saying here. But I saw a sign on their wall saying they charge $2 for requesting a hair stylist? Not sure if it means if you ask for someone in particular, but at the time I was okay with not asking for Joanne since they charge extra (correct me if I'm wrong).
When I want to get a haircut, I usually assume they will wash your hair and you'll get it blow dried and styled a certain way. I mean, who doesn't want that "fresh out the hair salon" feeling, you know?? I didn't know I would have to ask. I don't even want to mention her name here (although another review I read did say her name, so you might figure out who she is) but she was really lazy with how she did my hair. I didn't notice the cut was uneven until I got home. I kind of hinted to her that I want my hair straightened because with short hair, my ends tend to flip up and then she goes, "if you straighten it, you will see blah blah blah" I forgot what she said exactly but I was shocked that they don't style after a simple haircut?? I even told her I was probably on my day 3 hair which is another hint that I need my hair washed! All she did was spray with water!! When she didn't wash my hair before the haircut, I thought to myself maybe she will wash afterwards. I was very sadly mistaken.
I don't think I've ever walked out of the salon feeling so disgusted with my hair.
I would go there again just so that I could see if Joanne is any better but it would be awkward for her to see me asking for someone else. So unfortunately, I won't be going to that salon ever again.
$20. The cheapest haircut I have ever paid for in awhile with the "quality" to match. I felt like the lady treated my hair as if it was of a man. I guess if I paid $30, I'd get that shampoo, blow dry & style treatment.
