  • I'll try and be as constructive as possible and hopefully the owners can step it up, I love the fact new business is opening in my hood and want to support them but in this case I was very disappointed. I was expecting good things but unfortunately got the opposite. The Service Very polite but had an aura of no confidence in what they were serving. As if they were expecting a backlash from customers for some reason, they seemed very tentative. This is more a vibe / feeling than anything else although one server did describe the loaded fries as "like the ones at Taco Bell" which was repeated to other tables which didn't seem to go down well and was putting people off the idea. The Environment: The patio was really nice and the big benches where good to fit 6 easy. The interior looked questionable, it had some weird cactus desert style décor that gave it a Fast Food / Shawarmer / Burrito Mexican Take Out vibe. I heard it was supposed to be a Sports Bar but only saw one small TV on the wall. The Presentation I was a bit confused when our order arrived. Everything is served in little cardboard take out trays (food truck style) and the Slider Buns appear to be cheap bought in Hot Dog Buns, literally cut to half length. I thought this was very odd. I was expecting cute little round mini burger buns maybe with some sesame sprinkles and a skewer to keep things together. One slider was served with no lid which fell off on the way, with not a thing mentioned as it was handed to me. The cardboard trays where clumsy and seamed wasteful, they would look much better all served on reusable metal trays. The Food We ordered 6 sliders and loaded fries to share (3 sliders each). The Loaded fries where served in a cardboard tray no bigger than the palm of my hand and cost $9! Yes, NINE DOLLARS! $4 for the fries and then a further $5 for the added topping of Pulled Pork, Cheese Sauce, Sour Cream and Chives. It's defiantly not big enough to share and to put in a comparison the loaded "Dirty duck fat fries" at Wvrst arrive on a metal tray as big as your face, cost $8 and can easily serve 3 to 4 people. That being said they tasted good and defiantly were not "like Taco Bell"! Sliders - $4 Nashville Hot Chicken: Best of the meal. I would actually say it was AWESOME! Just poorly presented (This was the one where the lid had fallen off). - $4 Fillet of Fish: Second best of the meal, had a good balance of flavor and the batter was light. - $3 Cheeseburger: It had an good flavor but it was extremely salty. - $3 Mac&Cheese: Tasted cheap/frozen and was covered in far too much regular ketchup. Either let the customer put ketchup on it themselves or put some homemade style ketchup on it / on the side to make it "special" and step up the quality of the Mac burger. - $4 Eggplant Parm: Nothing to write home about and the Italian seasoned red sauce tasted fresh out of a tin. - $4 Po Boy: Fried Oyster, this one I didn't get to taste but my wife liked it and was the only one she actually ate all to herself. - Bread Buns: Tasted and looked like half cut hot dog Wonder bread buns. Drinks We ordered a drink each. One soda and a Beer. Total $50!!! If you were just to have a few beers on the patio then your good but we won't be going back for food unless I hear otherwise that things have stepped up. For the owner I would recommend checking out your competition both on quality, presentation and price to keep yourselves in the game! To name a few check out Grand Electric, Wvrst, Brock Sandwiches, Wilber's Tacos even the Foggey Dew and the beloved Old York to step it up. You could be great!
