  • I took my brother here ( he is a new Pointe Claire resident) for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the large windows and lots of natural light coming in. We picked up some prepared foods, I highly recommend their chick pea salad and the tabouleh (although not bad here) didn't seem as fresh as the Laval location. This fantastic middle eastern supermarche was just recently bought out (55% ownership) by Metro. Let's hope they keep their low prices and excellent selection. I believe they bought a good chunk as we know immigration will definitely continue and places like Toronto or Ottawa could successfully each have huge Adonis stores. Plus Metro could start stocking some of their (Adonis) items in their own stores. Anyway, enough about the business models and future plans! Back to the food. I highly recommend as well their baba ghanoosh and their hummus! Head down the aisle also to pick up some 79ยข pita bread (5 pieces in a bag) and eat to your hearts content! One other fantastic thing about Adonis is the fact that they have a great fresh seafood section that doesn't smell like a chinese fish market! One word of caution, avoid peak times if you do not enjoy crowds. Otherwise since the locations are so popular it can be like Costco at Christmas!
