| - We will not stay here again. The online photos are much more flattering that what you'll see in real life. We booked the King room with the large soaking tub but upon arrival we found a note in the tub from housekeeping that basically said "the tub may look nasty, but don't worry it's clean" (in so many words). There were definite signs of wear and tear, and needless to say, we didn't use the tub. Having an old, dirty looking tub is fine, but not when you advertise the room as a Deluxe King "with soaking tub." Instead of leaving a note, this should have been disclosed on the website at the time of booking. Or, the room should have been discounted accordingly.
The second annoying thing was that the TV only got one channel...Cartoon Network. The remote didn't work either, but I guess when you only get one channel you don't need a remote. Again, this should be noted at the time of booking, or the room should have been discounted accordingly. Who goes on vacation and doesn't watch TV...or only watches Cartoon Network?
Another issue we had was lack of hotel security -- the entrance to the hallway that lead to the rooms did not require a room key, therefore anyone off the street could come in at any time....and they did. While we were there someone from a pizza joint came in to stuff coupons through our room door. Given the lack of security and considering that we witnessed a drug deal occur on the sidewalk directly in front of the hotel, I wouldn't want to stay here at night alone...or maybe at all. We didn't end up spending the night as we had to catch an evening flight back home (just stayed for the day).
The room lighting was very poor. I had to roll my suitcase into the bathroom when I wanted to find something in it.
Pros: I liked the room colors and the artwork hanging in the room. It is walking distance to Hard Rock hotel/casino which is where we spent most of our time.
We paid $130 for one Saturday night (after taxes and fees), but for what you actually get I wouldn't expect to be charged any more than $60 (on any night) after taxes and fees.
