Okay so let me preface this by saying I don't go and get my hair done very often. It had been 6 months yesterday since I've treated myself in this way. So let's start at the beginning. About a week ago I call in and schedule an appointment for color correction (if you've had this done before, you know it takes quite a while) I never said anything about highlights however it seems that is what the receptionist heard. Because when I called back a few days later to confirm my appointment they mentioned it was for a full highlight which is when I corrected them. This is important because they did not allow enough time for my appointment so my stylist could focus on me the entire time. She had TWO other clients come in while I was there and chose to focus on them instead. While my hair was processing I was told the shop assistant would be checking on my hair. Which she did maybe twice in ten minutes. After that I found myself sitting in a dryer for over 40 minutes without being checked on. My hair ended up over-processing due to this negligence. Realizing this I go over to my stylist who was working on another girls hair and she sort of brushed me off and said she would be done soon. Correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm spending $300 on my hair, I should be your ONLY concern. If the correct time had been allotted I wouldn't have had to be there a full 8 hours (9-5). The girl who did my hair (Mackenzie) was nice enough and did a decent job on my hair however for the price and questionable customer service I was offered, I can't say I'll ever come back. Please just do me a favor and listen to the reviews. I wish I had.
***update*** So after badgering the owner's husband and receptionist, they finally agreed to fix my hair AFTER me sending them pictures of the botched job Mackenzie did on me. I had an appointment with Lauren this time. She seemed very annoyed off the bat and tried discussing what I wanted. After pointing out many (many) flaws with Mackenzie's work, Lauren decided to put the color equivalent of a band aid on my hair. All she did was melt down the root color with a temporary color and proceeded to tone the ends which is, again temporary. Keep in mind, I paid for a COLOR CORRECTION and I received was nothing of the sort. Instead I got a TON of attitude from Lauren, when I explained why I was still unhappy with my hair and that it was never what I wanted she replied with "well I just don't know how to please you so I think you should just go.." I was there less than an hour on the second go around which is nothing when you're dealing with hair. Needless to say Lauren didn't get a tip. I called my bank on my way home. I'm not going to pay for a color correction I never received, and I'm certainly not going to support such a rude business with such bad practices. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HABIT SALON
