I purchased a card 6 weeks before an event downtown, there are no warnings during the ordering process that note this card must be activated by tapping it at a physical terminal within 30 days of receiving the card.
I called to try and have them activate it remotely, but they can't do this. This is RIDICULOUS that it must be physically activated within 30 days, when I already loaded the card through my credit card with physical funds! They now have my money and will not give me a refund, and the customer service rep said I would have to visit a physical location in DOWNTOWN TORONTO for a refund, unbelievable. If I now try and tap the card after the 30 days, what will happen?? The agent didn't know, but said it likely wouldn't work!!!! Then what?? I HAVE TO GO DOWNTOWN TO A PHYSICAL LOCATION!!!!! Unbelievable.
You're better of queuing and paying your GO Fare, this was a complete waste of time and money. Do not buy.
