Loading was quick, but at the new place they were more interested in tossing my stuff into the house and leaving then paying attention to the markings on the boxes, especially those marked 'fragile'. Apparently we were right to move some of our more precious items ourselves the night before. Tossing all the boxes in the garage probably wouldn't have been such a big deal, except that I was on my own for the day and was relying on them to make sure the boxes that were too heavy for me to move up the stairs myself were in the right place so I could start unpacking.
Though they attempted to hide them, quite a few of the boxes arrived busted at the seams. When I questioned them about what happened, they said that was 'just what happened when you move boxes.' Now, this is hardly my first move, and when I've moved before, my boxes always arrived in good shape. Certainly not crushed!
After a five hour move, I was presented with a bill $300 higher than my quote, which absolutely amazed me.
I couldn't recommend these guys in good conscience.
