  • I am soo pissed that I literally made a YELP account at 2:30AM just to write and leave this review. Today, I experienced one of the most DEPLORABLE acts of customer service I have ever had to experienced at an establishment. At the 361 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 3R5 Rabba's location, not only was I scoffed at, ignored and completely disrespected, I was completely flabbergasted at the level unprofessional service this location gave. On Tuesday September 27th at approximately 12:00 am, I entered this particular Rabba's location after my work shift nearby. As a previous shopper at this location (however no longer after this incident) I walk immediately to the hot food counter (where the deli meats are) and I try to order food (in this case, samosas). There was a lady behind the counter who was casually talking on the phone for NON-WORK business. As I try to get her attention to order food, she abruptly hangs up the phone and leaves, quickly saying over her shoulder that someone else will help me. She leaves the store. After waiting for a couple of minutes and failing to flag down any store workers who knew but choose to ignore that I was there, I walk over to the cashiers and wait in line to ask them if some one can help me. I walk over to a lady who was counting her cash register. I did NOT interrupt her and waited for her to finish counting her money (I know how frustrating it is to lose your count doing these things from experience working as a previous cashier) When she was finished, I politely asked her if some one can help me at the hot food counter. She stopped what she was doing and looked me DEAD in my eyes and IGNORED me. She didn't say ONE word, she just eerily just stared at me like I was INVISIBLE. I was completely dumbfounded! I have never been so blatantly and so obviously ignored in my life! Especially straight to my face! This store at this time was practically EMPTY, except for a few customers (two to three) who were browsing the shelves. Quickly losing my patience, all I wanted was three damn measly samosas and some other items and getting some one to actually care felt like I was pulling teeth. I see a store worker walking to the front to place some packaged watermelons on ice. I ask him, the same question like I asked two previous workers and got the same "don't give a f*ck" attitude. He said if some one helps me then they'll help me and then turned around and continued packing watermelons. At this point I'm livid and completely leave the store, temper raised and stomach empty. I understand that it was late in the night but as a company that prides itself on offering "fine foods" to the local neighbourhood, the customer service I experienced at this location was anything but fine. As a store that is open 24hrs, I expect the same level of customer service 24 HOURS AROUND THE CLOCK, whether it's 12 pm on a busy afternoon or at 4 am on a weekend. Despite the good quality of food you offer, I rather starve and go without food then experience the low level of professionalism the staff at 361 Front Street location showed me. Never again will I shop at this location. ====UPDATE (15/10/16) ===== After leaving this review on several of Rabba's social media accounts, I was contacted by their head office who promptly rectified the experience I had at one of their stores. They assured me that they talked to the location's staff/managers and they reviewed store camera footage. A couple of days later, I received a letter of a apology as well as a Rabba's gift card (which will be used to purchase more samosas) KUDOS to the people at the head office for handling my situation so professionally. That is the kind of customer service I wished I had at the 361 Front St location. FIVE STARS for them! (not the 361 Front St location though...)
