  • One of the newer hence nicer bowling alleys in town, Southpoint bowling has a solid reputation for being a popular spot for a night of bowling. Alley is located on the upper level, same area as the Bingo room and the side entrance to the movie theater. The alley is double sided so it's not forever long as there are lanes on each side which is a feature I do like so you're not walking forever and day to get to the lane they give you. snack place and bar are located at the entrance of the alley and bar is obviously the only smoking area as the alley is non smoking. like all other alleys, $1 games after midnight so my bowling group definitely comes on that midnight train. The alley overall is newer so the lanes and operating systems are by far newer and nicer than some other locations I've been bowling at. I like they have one where it actually captures the speed at which you throw your ball and the average of how many pins you hit and which pin number they are, and all these different calculations so for people like my group that goes bowing on the regular every Sunday night, stats like these are helpful and good to know to help improve our games and technique. Can't go midnight bowling without having a couple of beers. but the only thing about this bowling alley they do not serve pitchers of beer which I had gotten used to over at the Orleans alley. So when buying beer for everyone, it tends to be a bit nerve racking when I'm walking from the bar with a tray in hand full of beers and trying not to spill. I could never do restaurant table service because I'm waaaay to clumsy for that, lol Shoe rentals are about the same anywhere else, but be sure to be kind and return your rental shoes... they do not ask for a shoe as collateral to insure you return their rentals. I've seen drunken people walk about with their bowling shoes, so do the right thing and return your shoes lol Is alley is clean and up to date with monitors and systems, I actually really love coming bowling here, but it's a little bit further out than other alleys that we regularly go to since we go every Sunday night. But I am most definitely a fan of this bowling alley!
