I avidly practice Bikram 5-6 times per week and I typically go to Sumits Yoga in Gilbert or Hot Lotus Yoga in Mesa for my Bikram classes. Today I decided to try a different studio for a change. A sales associate at Lululemon recommended Hot Pepper Yoga and after reading the positive reviews I decided to give this studio a chance. To my disappointment, Hot Pepper Yoga was nothing like I expected it to be. First of all, the room was suppose to be set at 105 degrees Fahrenheit but it was set slightly above room temperature. I wanted to take a vigorous class so I signed up for the Power Pepper Yoga session and it was no where near the intensity level I had anticipated. The yoga instructor I had was just filling in and she even stated "This is my second time doing this session." I don't blame her for not knowing the routine but it seemed a bit unprofessional asking the regular students for help during a portion of the class. The floors were also not cleaned thoroughly after the previous session because there was a lot of dirt and dust around my mat. Overall, this studio was not for me and I will be resuming my Bikram classes at Sumits and Hot Lotus.
