My husband picked this Hampton Inn because it's pretty new, which is always nice when you're choosing a hotel. The town itself is not so busy and bustling, so we were not surprised when we pulled in around 10 p.m. on a Sunday to find only about a dozen cars in the lot. We were greeted promptly, given our room key, and headed up for the night.
We opted for a suite and while it doesn't add much in the way of amenities (it has a little wet bar type sink as well as a microwave and little fridge in a separate area near the door), the extra space is really nice. Everything in the room was clearly new and smelled very clean. Nice decor and fluffy, comfortable linens. Nothing particularly noisy or bright in the room either once we had settled in to go to sleep. I hate nothing more than when I'm staying in a hotel and the blinking smoke detector light illuminates the entire room. The shades did a really good job of keeping light from the parking lot out as well.
My only minor gripe about the room is that the door to the toilet/shower room is difficult to maneuver around because it's all in quite a tight space. Also, the complimentary toiletry items are on a shelf over the toilet rather than at the sink where the majority of the items get used. These are kind of picky things though and overall our stay and our quick Hampton breakfast the next morning were nothing but enjoyable.
